Golf Trip Packing Essentials
Planning a guys' golf trip or golf bachelor party at our resort is the perfect way to celebrate with your friends. Our stay-and-play packages allow for the perfect mix of competition, relaxation, and plenty of time out on the course to create some great memories. However, packing the right items is crucial to ensure everything goes smoothly. As a resort hosting guys' golf trips regularly, we’ve seen it all, and we’re here to ensure you’re ready for an incredible experience. Everyone has "that friend" who has to borrow all of your golf stuff he forgot to pack! Here’s a detailed list of what to pack for a guys' golf trip or golf bachelor party, ensuring you’re set for an unforgettable time.
Golf gear must-haves
For any guys' golf trip or bachelor party, the first step is ensuring everyone is fully prepared for their time on the course. From the essentials to the little things that can be easily forgotten, here’s how to pack like a pro:
- Golf Clubs: Bring your own full set of clubs, including woods, irons, wedges, and a putter. Remove the clubs you may not need to make your bag lighter. We do have clubs to rent so no need to bring your own set if you don’t want to!
- Golf Bag: A lightweight and well-organized golf bag will make all the difference over several rounds.
- Golf Balls: Don’t forget extra sleeves of your favorite brand. Having more than enough will prevent any scrambling to buy replacements mid-round.
- Tees: Bring a bunch! Don’t depend on people leaving their tees on the box after they hit!
- Golf Gloves: At least two gloves are essential, especially in case of rain or wear and tear.
- Range Finder: Knowing your distances is key on courses you haven’t played yet. However, we do have quite a selection of rangefinders that have been left behind over the years. Feel free to borrow one from the clubhouse!
- Divot Tool & Ball Marker: We sell those in the pro shop with our beautiful logo!
- Towel: Keep your clubs clean and your hands dry with a reliable towel.
- Umbrella: Even in sunny locations, weather can be unpredictable, so pack an umbrella just in case.
- Sunscreen: Long days on the course mean plenty of sun exposure. Especially if you’re playing multiple rounds each day. You don’t want to look like a lobster on the second day of your trip.
Essential Golf Attire
Looking good and staying comfortable on the course is part of the fun. Make sure your golf wardrobe is equipped to handle everything from sunny skies to sudden downpours.
- Golf Shoes: Comfort is key for long days of walking. You might want to bring more than one pair in case they get wet or you lose spikes.
- Polo Shirts: Lightweight, moisture-wicking polos will keep you cool and looking sharp. We have a great selection available at the course.
- Golf Shorts/Pants: Choose breathable, flexible options that allow for easy movement.
- Hats/Visors: Keep the sun off your face and out of your eyes with a good hat or visor.
- Rain Gear: A waterproof jacket and pants will be your best friend if the weather turns.
- Socks: Comfortable, moisture-wicking socks will keep your feet dry and blister-free.
- Sunglasses: Polarized sunglasses reduce glare and help you keep a clear view of the fairways.
Personal Items For A Successful Trip
When planning a golf bachelor party or guys golf trip, you’ll want to pack more than just your golf gear. Consider bringing these personal items to make sure you’re covered both on and off the course:
- Casual Clothes: Pack comfortable clothing for lounging or dining in the evening after a long day of play.
- Swimwear: Relax poolside at our resort-inspired swimming pool.
- Personal Toiletries: Essentials like a toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, and a shaving kit should always be in your bag.
- Medication: Bring your medication so you don’t have to call your doctor while your on vacation
- Chargers: Bring chargers for your phone, rangefinder, and any other electronics you may need.
- Snacks & Water Bottle: Keep your energy up with snacks like protein bars or nuts, and always have a refillable water bottle handy. We have water and snacks at the pro shop and at the turn.
Optional Items to Enjoy Our Amenities
While these aren’t absolutely necessary, a few extra items can enhance your experience and make your trip even more enjoyable:
- Cooler / Ice Chest: Bring your ice-cold drinks out to the pool or putting green area and enjoy access to our complimentary ice machine.
- Fishing Pole: Our pond is stocked and ready for fishing! Early mornings and evenings are the best time, and the pond is within walking distance from our cabins and villas.
- First Aid Kit: Be prepared for minor injuries or headaches with a small first aid kit.
How to Plan the Best Guys Golf Trip or Bachelor Party
When it comes to planning a golf bachelor party, there are a few extra considerations to ensure that everything goes smoothly
- First, make sure you book tee times well in advance, especially if you’re heading to a popular resort like ours. Having this organized early will prevent any hiccups when you arrive. Check out our FAQ and feel free to contact us with any questions as you do your planning.
- Second, ask about our stay-and-play packages. These packages not only include rounds of golf, but you get complimentary golf carts for each room and access to additional amenities like our pool, fire pits, or fishing pond—perfect for making the most of your trip. Whether your group prefers to focus on golfing or mix it up with some off-course activities, our resort offers the ideal balance. It’s also a good idea to plan a group dinner or night out after the rounds. Many nearby locations provide great options for a night of celebrating.
- Finally, consider the personalities and preferences of your group. Some people might prefer to stay on the links, while others may want to relax by the pool or hit the town in the evening-plan enough time for everyone to have a good time.
